I am Sicelo Simon Masango. I was born and raised in Swaziland, a tiny beautiful kingdom in Southern Africa. At the age of 18 I left my country for the first time to study in Singapore for two years. I attended the United World College of South East Asia (UWCSEA) and came to Carleton for college. Never in my wildest dreams did I dream of studying outside my country let alone come to the US. But things happen and here I am today in America on a challenging, at times fun-filled and yet rewarding journey. I like playing soccer and watching my soccer role models enjoy themselves in the field. I have deep respect for the game which has changed the lives of many and brought enjoyment to millions around the world. I also enjoy going to the gym and trying out new sports like volleyball. Back in Swaziland I used to enjoy working with my dad in the farm, growing maize and vegetables while admiring his lovely advice on life's issues. That's what I'm always looking forward to whenever I go home. I like living in a city as well but I always remember where I came from.
