Hill o’ Three Oaks
Brewery
A series of technological breakthroughs rendered Colin’s Igloo™-cooler pvc-outtake system a bit antiquated, and over winter break of 2006 we set about converting two empty kegs into a brew-kettle and mashtun. With new equipment, and a newfound passion, we brewed our inaugural 10-gallon batch. It was an orange-peel Christmas Ale, the potency of which our Inebriant-Consultant Dr. Gibson can surely attest to.
As break neared its end, we made our way back across the country, from Philadelphia to Northfield, and like inverse prodigal sons, presented Rocks with our new toys. We have since purchased a propane-fueled King-Kooker, thus expanding the Hill o’ Three Oaks Brewery site to include the first burton balcony, and shutting down our abandoned site in the kitchen of 4th and College. Our newest mashtun advances the start of the art, in its utilization of a gatorade cooler and a stripped dishwasher hose. See photos here.
